Can I book a table outside?

Yes, you can totally book a table outside! Just pick 'The Veranda' when you're making your reservation. The Veranda is all set up to keep you cozy, with wind protection, blankets, and heaters for those chillier days.

What kind of food do you serve?

We offer Scandinavian dishes with international influences. Our menu includes fish and seafood dishes, vegetarian options, and classic meat dishes.

Can I bring my dog to the restaurant?

Dogs are welcome inside the restaurant, but please let us know beforehand if you're bringing your furry friend. During the summer, dogs are always welcome on our outdoor patio.

Can we get a secluded table?

Our dining room has an open layout, so we don't have completely private tables. But of course, you can always add a note to your booking if you'd prefer a window or corner table!

Is your outdoor seating covered?

Yes, our outdoor seating has both a roof and wind protection, which we use whenever needed.

What happens if it starts raining on your outdoor patio?

Most of our outdoor seating is covered from the rain, so you're welcome to join us no matter the weather!

Can we just come in for a drink?

In our Sommarnöjet area, we've set up about 35 sun loungers and two sofa groups. These are perfect spots for guests who just want a drink and aren't hungry for a full meal. You can also grab some snacks here if you feel like it!

Can we come for coffee and a treat?

In the summer, we serve coffee and treats at Sommarnöjet. During the winter, we serve delicious desserts instead!

Why isn't the 'God the Father on the Rainbow' statue spraying water?

The statue has a wind protection system that sometimes turns off the water when it's too windy. This is to make sure our guests and passengers on passing boats don't get completely soaked!

Where can we park?

There are a few parking spots right by the restaurant, but we actually recommend parking in the square garage.

Do you need a parking disc for the parking lot?

The parking rules are marked, but it can be a bit tricky to keep track of everything. The Parkster app works for the whole area, which makes it easier!

How can I get to Restaurang J using public transport?

You can take a bus or boat to Nacka Strand. We recommend using SL's travel planner to find the best route for your trip.

What are the operating hours for the funicular?

The funicular runs every day from 7 AM to 11 PM. It doesn't have a set schedule; it works more like a regular elevator. Just a heads-up, we're not responsible for the funicular and unfortunately can't do anything if it's out of order.
